Broanmain’s injection department manager has been named finalist in the Plastic Industry Awards 2018. Maria is one of six students to be shortlisted in the Trainee and Apprentice of the Year category, with the winner due to collect £500 donated by the PMMDA.
Matt Barber, sales and events director at Crain Communications, which organises the PIAs and publishes Plastics News Europe, said: “Innovation in plastic product design and manufacturing is essential to the sustainable use of plastics to improve all our lives. The depth and breadth of entries we received across all categories for the Plastics Industry Awards this year reflect the vigorous health and buoyant prospects of the industry in UK and Ireland.”
Winners will be announced at a glittering big band themed gala evening on Friday 28th September at the London Hilton on Park Lane. Now in their 18th year, the Plastics Industry Awards recognises innovation in 15 categories, ranging from product design, recycling, manufacturing, training and environmental performance.
