Our post moulding and assembly services include:
RFI Shielding
Electronic devices might be in some cases negatively affected by Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) waves generated by other electronic devices. Therefore shielding is used as a protection to prevent this from happening. Acrylic based spray form of shielding is the most commonly used way where spray containing highly pure metals is applied to a plastic. Paints and coatings are other forms of shielding available.
Chrome or coloured plating
Process of covering the surface of an object to decorate, protect from corrosion, to improve wearability, solderability or paint adhesion, to reduce friction, alter conductivity, for shielding of radiation and other purposes. The two most common processes of plating are electroplating and autocatalytic chemical process.
Laser marking
A process of marking the products with laser beam, including adding sequential serial numbers.
Post curing
During this process, parts of mould are exposed to higher temperatures to speed up the curing and to maximise some of the material’s physical properties. Post curing can only be done before full cure process of a mould is achieved.
Drilling
Process of creating holes into the surface.
Reaming
Reaming is process of creating small depths but high-precision holes into the surface leaving superb hole quality using specific reaming tools.
Ultrasonic welding
Acoustic vibrations are used during this process to create solid weld between plastic objects.
Tapping
The process of creating a thread in a hole.
Assembly
Operating from our Surrey facility, Broanmain offers flexible assembly services. Our experienced team is able to manage various assembly processes from simple two-part assembly to a complex string of sub-assemblies to finished assemblies.
