Tool Making

We have our own dedicated tool room capable of manufacturing small to medium sized tools. We have two very experienced toolmakers. Their experience is invaluable and we are able to do a lot of tool modifications in house, resulting in less down time for runs.

Larger tools up to 2,500 kgs are manufactured in our partnership tool room in the UK which we have been using for over 15 years. We also use our approved Chinese tool room that we have dealt with since 2004. This has given our customers a very cost effective choice, where the project is suitable. All of the tools are shipped back to the UK for the moulding work to be carried out in Dorking.

Both these partnerships are complimentary to, and are managed by, our in-house tool room.

We have a full tool maintenance system as part of our production planning system. All new tools are identified by photograph and id plates.
