Tool Making

Broanmain Plastics have an in-house tool room and have over 60 years of experience in tool design and tool making. Our tooling department grew in 2009 when JP Tooling, was incorporated into Broanmain, and is now managed by Alan Pudifin.

We are able to offer different options dependent on a customer’s specific needs. Our in-house based tool room is capable of manufacturing small to medium sized tools and our very experienced toolmakers and their expertise is invaluable. We are able to do tool modifications in house, resulting in less downtime for runs.

Tools can also be manufactured in our partnership tool room in the UK which we have been using for over 15 years. In addition, we have a long standing partner based in China who we have worked alongside since 2004 and have placed hundreds of tools with them over these years, which enables us to offer a very cost effective tool making solution, (subject to project suitability). All of the tools are shipped back to the UK for the moulding work to be carried out in Dorking.

Both of these partnerships are complimentary to, and are managed by, our in-house tool room.

We have a full tool maintenance system as part of our production planning operation. All new tools are identified by photograph and id plates.

Insurance of your tools whilst in our care can be provided, please contact us for details.
